Wolf's Milk

All assuming I've identified them correctly, it seems that these fruiting bodies, growing in decaying wood, are not fungi. They are commonly called Wolf's Milk - Lycogala epidendrum. They're very tiny so I decided they'd be fitting for a Tiny Tuesday blip, with thanks to host Jill Orme/JDO.

We've had glorious sunshine today interspersed with short, light showers. Though accompanied by strong winds, they weren't as wild as over the past couple of days, and it has been relatively mild.

Autumn is a great time for spring-cleaning! Sorted out our kitchen cutlery drawer today. It's one of those huge, wide ones that hold everything. Yet, hoarders as we are, it was overfull. So I've removed about half the contents, stowed them away, and we'll see if there's anything we miss. It's already so much quicker and easier to find the tools we do want to use.

We also popped into Dartmouth, which was surprisingly busy. Bought ourselves ice-creams (first time this year, I think). It began to rain as we went in to buy them, and stopped as soon as we emerged. How good's that?! We're creatures of habit: choc-chip mint tub for me, and rum and raisin cone for Mr PP. No seagulls were involved in the eating process!
