Blipmeet!

Tuesday
Staying at my sister’s, it is only about an hour’s drive to Swindon, to visit my blipfriend Maureen, aka Honeycombebeach. Unfortunately Maureen was previously booked at lunchtime, so we had arranged to meet at their home at 3 pm, and we were being joined by another blipfriend Heidi. We left my sister’s after breakfast, and stopped en route at Birdlip Hill, a well known local viewpoint, and nearby Crickley hill Country Park, to fit in some exercise for the day, knowing that we would be plied with cakes later on! (see extra). It was an overcast morning, but the rain held off for the first part of our walk, though catching up with us later on. From then on, the weather just deteriorated, but once we were at Maureen and John’s that no longer mattered. As you can tell from my photos, much fun and hilarity ensued, and we enjoyed cups of tea and a lovely selection of cake. Heidi had driven there in Alfie her camper van, so she could give us a tour, since we enjoy camping too. Unfortunately, it had to be conducted in the rain, under umbrellas! All too soon, it was time to break up the party and return to Janet’s. It was a horrible drive home, in the dark, and in pouring rain, but fortunately we made it back safely, as did Heidi.
