Plaza Mayor

Managed to get the Duke all packed up and ready to be on the move again in good time this morning for our trip to the Santander ferry. So we sadly said our goodbyes to Daveen and Mike and set off.
Our first little hiccup was before we even left Mourão - there was a car blocking the narrow road - not deliberately I’m sure, but the two girls sitting in the car said they didn’t know how to drive, so they tried calling someone on the phone. In the end we found another road, albeit quite narrow and full of potholes. However it was a good test of whether we had everything packed up securely.
Then David drove a long way to Salamanca where we stopped for a while to see this beautiful city and where this photo was taken of David in the famous Plaza Mayor - reputedly one of the best in Spain!
After more driving we arrived at our overnight spot, where we had some supper and I am now settling in for a good night sleep in our cosy little home.
