Not My Garden....

...but I would love a water feature like that!

I took my friend Mary over to Parkwood in Oshawa today ..A National Historic Site, the home of R.S McLaughlin, the founder of General Motors Canada.

It was a dreich day..( am trying to use my recently-learned Scottish words) cloudy, gray, dreary and almost raining...but we wanted to get out of the house and get some exercise.

After a brief stop at SAIL, another of our favourite outdoor stores, to take advantage of Thanksgiving Day sales, we arrived at Parkwood just in time for the almost rain to become actual rain. Oh well. We had raincoats with us...

We did take our walk around the grounds and did our best to take some photos..and of course visited the gift shop which quite unexpectedly had some interesting items - and is worth another visit closer to Christmas shopping time!

That is Mary in the main blip and the collage in the extra has some shots of the house and grounds.

The rest of the day? Sitting again along with Maggie the cat (without a fire  this time as it is actually quite warm today) reading novels and munching on those same leftover sweet treats from book club. (It was SO clever of us to buy more treats than the book club could possibly eat!)
