Blackness Castle

I do not normally include people in my photographs, especially ones I do not know but I was so busy looking at the wonderful clouds when we arrived at Blackness Castle this morning that I accidentally included a couple  and decided to keep the scene as it is.
Blackness Castle (first extra) is on the south shore of the Firth of Forth and is larger than we expected and in very good condition, not a ruin like so many others. It has been used in recent years for filming of Outlander.
The second extra is of a Shelduck that was wending it’s way along the shore sifting food from the sand with it’s beak leaving a trail of webbed footprints in the sand.
