A Day Worth Recording

Speed & Potter

There had been a special request from someone booking to come to the open garden today, to have the steamer running.  That was good because I needed to get it out before putting it 'to bed' for the winter.

Irritatingly, the batteries in the receiver chose the start of the session to die on me - and unfortunately the system doesn't default to anything useful (like stationary and whistling to release the steam pressure) so it was a quick jog to grab the accelerating kettle and turn the gas off.

Once cooled and re-batteried it ran fine.

Meanwhile, the 'old faithful' battery Mamod pottered around all afternoon, doing it's standard NGS service.
