Treerat with hat

Surprisingly, the squirrel I'd been watching during lunch, that had positioned itself in a clear shot, was still there after I went in to get the camera.  

It alternated between the classic 'cute' nibbling pose and this one. There was another squirrel in the area, both quite noisy at times, and I wonder of this is some form of threat display.
