Walking down from Loch Skeen

Backblip 5

A much better forecast for today, so MrM drove us across the border to one of our old haunts - the Grey Mare's Tail - stopping for a while at St Mary's Loch on the way.

The Grey Mare's Tail (extra) is one of the UK's highest waterfalls, and quite spectacular. We walked up the track past the falls, and up to Loch Skeen - gloriously sunny and warm, and we carried our jackets until reaching the loch, where there was a 'bracing' wind. Fabulous views of the surrounding hills, but no time to walk on them today.

A drive past the Megget reservoir before heading for home for one of MrM's delicious curries.
