Egrets, I've had a few...

The trouble with trying to photograph birds along the River Severn is the mud.

You can't get close to the birds without risking at least your footwear, and potentially everything else too. The rise and fall of the tide - third highest in the world with a range of 15m - makes getting down to the water impossible or at least ridiculously dangerous.

This white egret decided to dance for me, perhaps daring me to come closer. I didn't. Don't forget to go large.
