Mushroom Magic

It was delightful to wake up without the slight back twinge that is a hallmark of the pullout bed in Molly Camper. And it's good to be home. But the day has slipped away, back into the routine - breakfast, housework, walk, lunch, lawnmowing and languages...

We had a couple of enjoyable video conversations with friends and family, but I guess the day has had an overlay of covid caution again. It still feels like we are watching news from another country, and apart from not being able to do things I probably wouldn't normally do anyway, life goes on.

Dreadful too to read about the teacher beheaded in France. I guess one could argue he was being wakefully provocative given the 'feels not so long ago' Charlie Hebdo massacre, but that was five years ago. Is there really any such thing as free speech any more? Or the freedom to speak freely? And was there ever?
