Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Fall in BC

Not my usual “at home” day ….so something different to describe…. We had a leisurely late start to drive to Canada … no one at the border and no issues even tho we saw lots of covid testing tents.  ( not forgetting the hassle of filling out the forms at home..again., and getting the covid test) .
Checked into the motel in tsawwassen , had a bite to eat and did our grocery shopping.   Then decided to go look at the wildlife in the Bass sports store at the huge hateful mall nearby.   Just wandered around and took pictures ( 1st extra) ..  it’s amazing and lots of old photos and native artifacts as well .then drove the car to the other end of the mall complex and went to our first restaurant where we have been required to have proof of vaccines.   The Seahawks football game and the Dodgers baseball were on the huge screens and the music was much too loud but the food was great and we had a lovely chat with the waitress .  There were 2 guys whose jobs were just to wipe down every surface and menu in sight.   Over and over.   It felt very safe .   ( a restaurant!, 2nd extra).  Then early back to the motel where H could watch the rest of the Seahawks and I was happy to just play with the iPad and some different photos .    Thot I’d blip those lovely red blueberry fields that dominate the way from the border to here with their fall color.    From the car.  The heavy rain had lightened a lot by now.      But it looked sort of “plain” so I added some wildlife….. just for fun.
Tomorrow morning I’m looking for calm winds as we take the ferry and then our little boat to the island.
