New reality day 447

Timber!

The lumberjacks took down 6 trees. 3 were left to a stump high enough to hang a hammock and rope for laundry to dry in the sunshine.

It was quite exciting to watch if the trees will fall to the wished direction. They did have the wire to pull it where they needed ect, but we only had parts of the fence away, so it wasn't like they could just fall anywhere. It was really tight. And the trees were massive coming down. Massive!

So we have backyard full of upcoming woodwork. If we manage to make logs this year, we can burn these in the fireplace during winter 22-23. Birch is the best kind to burn. We got 2 birches, 1 pine and 3 aspens waiting to be logged.

Tomorrow we have to fasten the fences back to their place. Now they are just there with shoelaces. It was pitch dark when my husband got off from work, so tomorrow when we both have evening shifts we'll do the fence in the morning.

And it's going to be cold in the morning. It's gonna be -1°C. I'm so glad I have evening shift as we don't have the winter tires yet on either car! And we only have those for the Jeep here. The ones for Toyota are 500km north from here.

I had P here for coffee from the job before Lidl. It was nice to see her. Last time we saw each other (outside work), it was summer and we went swimming.
