Everyone can see it smiling over the sky Paint the whole world with a rainbow........

Some of you UK blippers may recognise those words from the brilliant children's TV show "Rainbow" - now I bet you can't stop singing it can you - hee hee hee.

A wet but pleasant morning.  I went over to Morecambe to pick Mum up, then into Lancaster to pick my sister up and the onto Barton Grange.  This was to enable Mum to start her Christmas shopping as she was getting worried that she hadn't even startd it yet.  Like me, we both normally have most of it done by mid November.

Getting through Lancaster was a little slow but not too bad.  Then we ended up following a really old but very slow bus all the way from Galgate to Barton Grange and it was raining quite heavy!!!

Barton Grange was quite busy but not too bad to start with.  There was a big sign asking everyone to wear masks with plenty of sanitisation stations.  All staff were wearing them.  We naturally complied, as we always do anyway.  It did get to me the number of people, mostly  older ones, not bothering!!!!!

Anyway, we looked around.  Their Christmas decorations are nothing like they usually are I'm afraid but still quite pleasant.  There were quite a few empty spaces where they hadn't had deliveries yet.  None of their usually brilliant animated advent calendars and dancing bears/penguins - but still not bad.  They still hadn't fully completed, but not too much left to do.

Still it was quite pleasant mooching around, doing a little bit of shoppiing.  Then Mum's back started to hurt so we went to the Willows Cafe for coffee.

After that we did a little more shopping , then I startedto get a bit stressed at how busy it was getting and too many non-mask wearers that we stopped and went back to Mum's.  Had a chat and a sandwich then I came on home. My sister is staying at Mum's until about 5.00 pm, but Mum's brilliant next door neighbour will take my sister home whenever so that is great.

This is one of the displays selling their Christmas decorations.  It caught my eye as it wasn't too Christmassy, after all it is still only October.

Do take care everyone and do wear masks when indoors or crowded situations, cases are increasing quite rapidly again.  Most of all look after yourself and your loved ones.

See you all tomorrow.
