Confederate Rose

Some of the blooms and buds on the Confederate Rose bush right now.

In the large bloom in the top picture you can see there is a bee currently hidden deep inside. I do hope the frosts hold off until the bush has completed its blooming so the bees and butterflies can get the full enjoyment of it.

I was going to FaceTime with my Mum today and help her with some technology but instead on doing her usual Monday visit, she was visiting her good friend (and Dad’s cousin) this afternoon. I therefore spent time talking with my sister and then doing a lot of catch up reading.
