Friends

Much of the day was spent catching up on emails and other admin.
Late this afternoon we drove to Fritham in the New Forest to meet friends at the Royal Oak PH. On the way I managed to photo a pony. I had hoped to find some donkeys, my favourites,  but they were obviously visiting another hostelry tonight. However, we did find our  friends at the pub : L who recently had a heart attack following SCAD (Spontaneous coronary artery dissection), her daughter V, her son O, and the new dog. L's husband T had brought his fish and chip van to the pub, so of course we all enjoyed dinner on him. L still tires easily so it wasn't a long night, and she took V home while we took O back to his care home with a tubeful of dinosaur toys  we had brought for his 22nd birthday which he celebrated last weekend. We used to provide monthly respite care for O  when  he was aged 4 - 18 years, until he got too big and strong for us! But we miss having him to stay, and it is always good to see him and his family. Tonight we were celebrating seeing L, who is only here now thanks to the  excellent  emergency  treatment she received two months ago in the Southampton area. Thank you again, NHS.
