Light and Shadow

Last night there was a heavy frost, -5°C.  Returning from a walk in the forest, there was a beam of sun breaking through the vegetation. It illuminated 5 of the 6 seedheads on this lily, casting their shadow onto the frosty deck.
In the afternoon we headed to Kramfors Theatre to watch a production of Death of a Salesman. I've always been a little reluctant to go and see this play as it sounded so depressing. It is depressing but at the same time brilliant. I can understand why it's considered one of the best plays of the 20th century.  Perhaps the title of today's blip also applies to this performance. The story in the play is the shadow, Miller's writing and the performance of this company are the light.
After the theatre we headed off to a new restaurant in Kramfors and enjoyed a really good meal, whilst talking about the play.
A day out - how nice!
