Disruption

With work on the kitchen beginning tomorrow, today we had to clear everything from the drawers and cupboards, and move the dining table upstairs into L's room. We also cooked the fresh food that we couldn't microwave, and added it to the stock of prepared meals in the freezer. Tonight will be a final run of the washing machine and dishwasher. I'm sure there's something we've forgotten to do, but we'll survive!

My Audi A2 has not been used for months since it sometimes fails to start, so it was a bonus when it started OK and I could move it to make space for the skip that arrives tomorrow. The battery was flat, so I went out for a spin to charge it up, giving K the opportunity to drive for the first time since June. It's parked so that it can be push started when it goes to be fixed in two weeks time.

Earlier, with A going rowing, I took out Django on a morning with few sunny spells and a lot of dark clouds. We met Sam the anxious whippet, whose owner knows will be OK with Django (see extra) which must be a relief, as he has to be continually on guard against dogs that will stress Sam out.
