Job hunt successful

Miss PHL heard back from her interview today with the good news that she was successful and starts her 2 week training period on 8th November.

After nipping to the supermarket this morning I took Phin to the field for a good run around, he had a great time.

As I seem to be using a lot of paper tissues at the moment it seemed apt to use them for today’s MonoMonday blip of inventions from any era. Although single use thin tissue handkerchiefs were first used by the Japanese in the 17th century, it wasn’t until 1924 that a clever chemist created party er tissues with a view to their use as makeup removal items by the Hollywood stars if the day. A survey by a newspaper in 1926 revealed 60% of the readers used them for blowing their noses.
