Protea

I bought this protea from the market yesterday on my way home from St Cross.  There were only two of them (£6.50 each).  I couldn't resist taking the least open one, so hopefully I'll get another shot from it later.  It's the first time I've ever seen a protea, except online.  Fascinating, don't you think?  Apparently you can dry them to keep.  If you add a dollop of glycerine to the water they retain their colour better when dried.  Well that's what the stallholder said.

So I shot this today instead of going for a walk and haven't so much as poked my nose outside.  Quite happy to look at the grey skies through glass for once..
