Day 24 Level 3 Lockdown Step 1

After the excitement of yesterday, today was rather staid by comparison. We deposited the flattened cardboard and plastic packaging in the appropriate recycling bins, bought pies for lunch with my Mum, did the vacuuming for her and then hubby spent the afternoon in the garden while I tried to come to grips with the new software system. Some further training is called for over the weekend! We did, though, join a Zoom catch-up with a handful of our volunteer friends from the America’s Cup, which was most enjoyable.

While driving along Tamaki Drive at St Heliers I spotted something interesting hanging from one of the Pohutukawa trees and quickly asked hubby to park the car.  Upon investigation it turned out to be a beautifully decorated “frame” with messages attached that related to mental health.  So that is my blip for today.

There are 125 new cases of delta in the community today: 118 in Auckland, four in the Waikato, two in Christchurch, and one in Northland.
