Victorian set at Tenterden

A day at Tenterden Town which started with torrential rain and ended in fine sunshine.

In between there was normality punctuated by times of uncertainty such as when an unplanned shunt move caused a bit of consternation which would have been better with better planning and communication.

There was a pleasant interlude in the morning when my friend John visited the box with his son Chris and the grandchildren. All very very inquisitive. His Chris is pretty much the same age as my Chris. This was the first time I’ve seen him since he was a youth!

The extra is a view from the signalbox balcony just prior to the departure of the first train. The loco for the second train waits in the loop.
