Crocosmia Emily McKenzie

We bought this a while ago and I have been keeping it in the "blip bank" for when I needed a blip.  So tonight out in the garden to find the pot and then into the studio for a shot.

If you have been reading my journal over the last week or so you will realise the name Emily has a special meaning within the family.  By coincidence, we bought a plant called Pretty Lady Susan on the same day.

I suspect while I have called this Crocosmia it should be Crocosmia x crocosmiflora.   They are often also known as Montbretia
