Jumping

A day of domesticity.

Pumpkin, lentil and spinach soup made for lunch. Nice and spicy, and surprisingly good, especially with a drizzle of soya cream. Later in the day toasted the pumpkin seeds with a little olive oil, dark soy and garlic powder. Far too moreish!

After yesterday's heavy rain, MrM thought there may be fish jumping at Haugh Head Ford, so this afternoon we went to see. There were, lots, sea trout and salmon too. The great majority failed to find the fish ladder and were unsuccessful in getting over the ford. They were washed back downstream, maybe for another attempt later. Sadly, no sign yet of the work to modify the ford to make fish migration easier.
