After another day of meetings and answering email and telephone questions, I went out for a beach run. Saw this Karoro (Kelp gull, usually called a black-backed gull in New Zealand). It was in amongst a flock of Tarapunga (Red-billed gulls); probably waiting for a parent to provide food.
