Day 29 Level 3 Lockdown Step 1

Today’s excitement - hubby baked his sourdough loaves, and we roasted nuts and seeds while the oven was being used. But also a glimmer of hope from the Prime Minister. Auckland’s hard border will likely stay in place over summer, but those who are vaccinated will be able to leave the city. Fingers crossed that this is what will happen. It gives us some hope.

We decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway curry tonight - Indian hot for hubby, mild for me.  Having a takeaway is a rare occurrence for us, as we prefer to cook our meals or actually eat in a restaurant, but It’s been a cold, wet day so a good curry was just what we needed to warm us up, and it’s also a means of supporting a local business.

Having not had an opportunity to go out and take a blip today, I thought our takeaway would serve the purpose.  However, we were so intent on serving and eating the food while it was hot that I completely forgot to take a photo.  In desperation, I photographed the containers plus the packet of poppadoms that hubby keeps on hand for when he cooks a curry.  I’ve also included a screen shot from the restaurant’s website, just to add interest.

There are 100 new community cases today – 97 in Auckland and three in the Waikato.
