Misty rain

We had a relaxing breakfast, then I caught up with some messages and emails and spent time checking some data, while Mr MacD baked four sourdough loaves.  By lunchtime the loaves were ready to be cut, so we enjoyed freshly-baked bread with avocado and tomato.  Delicious!!

After lunch I finished the data checking, then we did a tidy up in the kitchen.  I just had time to dash across the road and meet Mum at the doctor’s, where he gave her legs a quick check over and sent us on our way.  Back home I did a bit more work, then tackled some ironing.

After supper we sat down and studied an email from our travel agent, who has had great difficulty finding flights for us.  It’s incredible that they’re booked up so far in advance.  Anyhow, she has found us flights via the US to Europe and return via South Korea, but they come at a cost.  As this most likely will be our last big trip, we’re probably going to bite the bullet and do it.

A lovely white Gladioli has appeared in the garden, so there’s a photo of it plus three of the poppies we took from the gardens at the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial on Tuesday.
