Investigating the kiwifruit

One of the kiwifruit I bought a wee while ago had gone overly soft, and S cut it in half and gave me a half for the bird table. The main attendees are interested in the seeds and grains which are the staple of what I put out for the birds. I had hopes that the occasional spotted dove might like the fruit, or that fruit eaters may be attracted. Not so far today, although one dove did spend some time on the table.

A quick jog to and around Highfield between end of work and our reconvened Peer Group meeting. One Piwakawaka made itself obvious; enough so I got a good shot of its fanned tail. (the extra)
