Giles House, Pittenweem Harbour

The White House is Giles House which was built by James Cook, captain of a coal ship in the mid 17 century.
It was on this coal ship that Charles II was spirited away to France after he and his Scottish Covenanting army were routed by the English at the Battle of Worcester in 1651.
