Starting somewhere

You’ve got to start somewhere with the winter balcony sunrises, and today’s was as good a place as any to start.

Furious pace all day, effectively interweaving a busy day at work with a busy day of some home stuff. We found a home for some plastic storage boxes that are now superfluous to requirements (hazelh!) and dropped them off there as they are away, but we needed to move them today. Popped to the supermarket. Took down various bits of rubbish and recycling to the garage. Squirrelled away the rest of the bits and pieces in the wardrobe. Cleaned the floor (again). Negotiated with the wardrobe people over uplift of the rubbish (they wanted to send a van from the West Midlands (!), but we took them up on a local kerbside collection with Mr hazelh helping us get everything downstairs in due course). Fixed a vaccination booster appointment for Mr A (whose vaccinations got screwed up because he didn’t go for his flu jab at the Royal Highland Showground but had it locally at a pharmacy in Leith). Had a meeting with LATAM. Sent a million emails and received almost a million. Attended a meeting with colleagues about student wellbeing which was very interesting. And managed to get a spin.

I was very tired at the end, and fell asleep in front of the TV and retreated very early to bed. At least there will be a bit of light and shade in the weekend, even though there is a fair amount of work to do.
