Table laid

We finally enjoyed the somewhat delayed evening with C and K.

But first, to maintain the momentum on moving the wardrobe rebuild forward somewhat every day, Mr A put up the new curtain rail and I took two bags of textile recycling to Seafield, managing to dodge the showers. Now, all we have to shift are some very heavy off cuts from the build, left behind by the fitter (as per contract apparently…), and we are hoping for some help with this, fingers crossed. After that, onwards and upwards towards redecoration, curtain hanging and bed moving! It’s not been a short process, but overall quite satisfying.

Later, a lovely evening with C & K. They called round to drop off a couple of bits, and we wandered over to Campervan for pre dinner drinks. There was some live music, which is lovely in a way, but it wasn’t the very highest quality. But never mind, it wasn’t intrusive.

I compiled dinner quickly when we got back (a salmony creamy thing with spaghetti), which was devoured hungrily by people made hungrier by having been out to drink beer! It was followed by some bits of pie from Victor Hugo, which C & K had brought round, and lots of chat and wine. Nice to be convivial and catch up with people.

By the time they left, we were ready to fall into bed.
