Jardim

Thanks to the early nights, my body has been waking me up before 5am for several days. I like it because by 8am one can feel accomplished and productive. This morning there was a 5.30am departure back to Lichinga to fly back to Maputo and a return to city life.

Lichinga may be the most remote and smallest of Mozambique’s provincial capitals, so its airport is not a major transit hub. The most notable characteristic is the baskets of strawberries that several passengers/traders carry, grown in this highland region for onward sale in either Nampula or Maputo.

I liked this well-tended garden (jardim) snapped before leaving Niassa Province.
