Last kayak of the season?

Wednesday
The forecast for the day was a little on the cool side, but it was supposed to be sunny, so we thought we would try and get one last kayak in before the weather got too cold. The morning indeed started bright and sunny, but by the time we had got the kayaks on and driven to Stonelick Lake, it had unfortunately clouded over, which also meant it felt colder. However, since we’d gone to the bother to get there, we carried on, hoping the clouds would break up and give us some sunny spells. Laura was with us, so she and Roger went out first, then Roger came in, and I went out. It felt cool to start with, but once I got paddling, I soon warmed up. However the sun didn’t really reappear while we were paddling, though in my extra shot, you can see the clouds seemed to be thinning, and there was a vague glimmer of light on the water. By the time we got home, it was still bright and sunny there! Tantalizing!
