Today my career reached giddy new heights when I made a drawing requested by Ipswich council showing the walking route from the weighbridge to the mens' toilet and back again for the use of dust-cart drivers and operatives unfamiliar with the site.

I confess that I am cheating, I hardly see daylight at this time of year and so this is from my Folkestone collection from March.

1993: We had our first “family holiday”, my partner, his two sons and I. A month or so later the elder son moved in with me as a fresher student at the university down the road. His dad was working away from home which meant that overnight, aged 32, I became responsible for a 17 year-old.
