SILLY SATURDAY - CLIMBING TREES

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We know that Mr. HCB is a little disappointed because he can’t get out into the garden because it’s so wet, so when he said that he would be doing a jigsaw, we were quite excited, because we thought we could help him.

However, Mrs. HCB had other ideas and said she she would be going for a walk in her field, so we quickly jumped into her bag while she put her walking boots on, only to find that Mr. HCB was putting his boots on too.  I think he thought that a walk in Mrs. HCB’s field would be better than doing a jigsaw puzzle.

It was very wet and squelchy underfoot in the field, but that didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves and running around - we had a swing on some of the low branches of a Horse Chestnut tree and enjoyed swishing through all the leaves that are on the ground and then we found this great Acer tree with a split trunk, so we started to climb.  

It was great fun and as  you can see, Reeth, the little pink pig, managed to get up higher than anyone else, but Penny Penguin was watching carefully to ensure that there were no accidents.  Leyburn did very well too but it will probably be harder getting down than climbing up, but we think they are going to enjoy having adventures with us.  

I managed to climb halfway up the tree but had to keep an eye on Snowy, Tiny and Hoggy to make sure they were safe.  It was very tiring climbing, especially for Hoggy with his little short legs, but we did have fun together and we think that Admirer would have giggled if she could have seen us all.  We don’t know for how much longer we will be able to go out having adventures, because the winter is coming, but for today, although it was a bit grey and dull, it wasn’t cold - at least, we didn’t hear Mrs. HCB say it was cold, and you know what she’s like - she’s a bit of a wimp when it comes to cold weather!
