Dragonfly

The mystery object is a metal sculpture of a dragonfly. It is interesting that lesson (in my view) that the true character and nature of almost everything can only be understood from knowing both the whole and the parts. Too frequently we can jump to conclusions and judgements without being aware of the complexity of the whole.
It has been a nice autumn day - mild and with no wind. A day for making progress in the garden planting our new climbing rose against one of the pergola posts and then pruning an old, overgrown and very woody shrub.
