Afternoon walk. Light through trees.

I’m at the local Farmhouse Bistro halfway round my circular.
Stephen has gone shopping and our son is “working from home” albeit at our house.
We went with the grandchildren and our d-i-l to a local Community Library in Shenstone village this morning, not far from here, off the main road to Lichfield. An 11min drive.
They all enrolled.
They are already registered at our nearest library just up the road from us.
I am so pleased they all love books so much.
The staff were all volunteers and so helpful as they had never had 4 children and their mum all enrol at the same time.
We were very impressed.
There was a small local art exhibition in the café area which was bright and cheerful.
Sofas and small chairs for the children in the area of the library given over to them.
Books were pored over and choices were made.
Library cards were made for them with their names, (which took quite some time)
We all had a drink before they each took their books (several in each pile!)
to the two patient volunteers at the desk.
Then a look around in the small play area/ garden at the rear.
Fungi spotting, and leaf gathering!
There was a stunning Japanese Maple at the front as we left. Glorious in the sunshine, which has been great today.
They are at present watching a film so I’ve come out for a walk.
They are rather excited and apprehensive about moving tomorrow, after the débâcle of two months ago.
Understandably.
But I have a bottle of Champagne ready for us 4 adults for tomorrow evening!
It’s a beautiful day.
But the light will start to fade after 3.00pm.
I’ll be off on my way soon, back home.
Thinking of a fellow blipper Marlene, who is about to undergo an operation, (hopefully) this afternoon.
