Thank-You Blip!

Nine years of Blipping!

What a record of our lives during these years when I adjusted first to living in suburban Sutton Coldfield after 24 years in rural NE Brazil (hence my original Blip name, lovingSutton), and then, after four years, to a plot of land in the Alentejo region of Portugal (hence my current Blip name, amando - means loving - Alentejo)! Blip certainly helped with both, the spiritual discipline of daily finding something I loved, however I felt.

My Mum dying, both daughters marrying, two new son-in-laws, and two gorgeous grandkids - lots of other changes as well, all recorded here.

And loads of new friends, some now friends "in the flesh" as well, others hopefully still to be met as soon as this blasted pandemic calms down. As well as an excellent way of keeping in daily touch with family and old friends.

The photo is of the part of Monsaraz outside the walls, the square tower in the middle is the home of our Swedish friends, Gunilla and Bengt. We made a special trip up there for this anniversary, to get the rising full moon over the Guadiana valley, but after several nights of clear skies, tonight was cloudier, and liked this better than any of the moon shots.

Gratefuls:
- this wonderful, kind, engaging, friendly site
- all the leftover beauty we can still find in this messed up world of ours
- the miracle of photography available to us all nowadays, helping us remember daily blessings
