A Day Worth Recording

'Bath Night

backblip

After a day of office move disruption, albeit interrupted by an escape to the pub, it was good to escape to the hills - the town of Matlock Bath specifically.

It's a curious place but becoming a favourite base for walking the Peak District.  Has a 'seaside' feel despite being almost as far from the sea as it's possible to get in the UK.  I guess both it and many seaside resorts were Victorian creations, and share much of the same style: you're looking at "South Parade".  It's a bit incongruous for somewhere that was core to the industrial revolution.

Good drive up.  It's clear they've had Proper Snow up here, but know how to shift it.
