Christmas Tree Wonderland

Christmas has officially arrived in Bournemouth.

After buying bread in Boscombe, and returning T-shirts to Primark, we headed to the Lower Gardens in town to meet ‘E’ and his doggie.

We met at Picnic, close to the Aviary (which is being rebuilt). Picnic is an amazing example of a small start-up, phenomenally successful, owned I believe by two Poles. From just a small kiosk, it now has two vast attractive covered areas with seating, and open sides perfect for Covid.

Sat and chatted, then had a meander around the Gardens to enjoy the Christmas Tree Wonderland. Packed with families etc. enjoying a fabulous free experience. Of course it is best seen after dark when the trees are all lit up.

We were then tempted to have a pizza at the El Murrino pop-up by the Pavilion, overlooking the gardens.
