The Edge of the Wold

Energy

The Holy Grail of Gus blips is all four feet off the ground while keeping the shot in focus. I have managed it with Harry, my sister's dog and with Sue's collie, Rowan, but not yet with Gus. One shot this morning did have him airborne, but failed on focus. This was the closest yet. He has one or two followers out there in Blipland, so I hope they like this. He was brimming with energy and enthusiasm this morning, the more so because Wifie got up early and came with us.

We had a visitor today. Little M came for the afternoon, he helped Wifie make a cake and a jelly, we had an egg hunt in the garden, he came for a walk over the Knott with us (and we climbed a tree), he made the place settings for when Mum and Dad came over later, and he discovered that we have Angry Birds on the iPad. A very busy and successful afternoon. He has as much energy as Gus, we had a great time and now we are happily exhausted.

Reg update. I brought his hibernation box out of the fridge this morning, and put it on the window ledge of the second bedroom. Within 5 minutes his head had appeared, and he was starting to move. Not bad after 150+ days in the dark at 5 C. Tomorrow we will weigh him, give him a bath and hopefully he will have a drink. And then we keep him under his heat lamp until it's warm enough to go outside, and with any luck he will fancy a dandelion leaf or two. There will be a Reg blip when he goes outside for the first time this year.

ps For those who don't know Reg, here he is.
