Sunrise, on a Misty Morning

Another Gideon Heugh:

You don't need to make your own hope -
the sky is full of it.

Wake up early one day
(I dare you)
and watch the sun rise,

watch how it encourages the Earth
to become itself, only more so,

watch how it allows all things,
even the sad beings,
to be colourful, and beautiful,

then listen, listen as it says
quietly, yet undoubtedly,
'We begin again.'

Gratefuls:
- our church's amazing generosity to a colleague in need, really made my day, let alone theirs
- our car passing its annual inspection, and Mike for taking it
- Guillaume coming (on his quad bike so as not to damage his Audi) to stay in the caravan (though we can't have him in the house until we test positively, ie negative! in a few more days)
