Bewick Pair arriving Slimbridge WWT

At this time of year I am as likely to be woken by honking as I am construction truck reversing bleepers... the wild geese and swans generally fly into Slimbridge early morning and late afternoon (the construction traffic all day long...).

After a decent blast out on Morrigan in what is still fairly mild weather, I took Molly Camper up to Slimbridge for some quite time with an audio book, while Janet planted the last of the spring bulbs before the frosts arrive.

These two were plainly a pair, flying so close they jostled each other as they approached the lakes at the WWT site. The sun was sinking in the west and the light rather poor, but I liked the image overall.
