Rust and peeling paint

The optional theme for Abstract Thursday is "texture" and I knew where to find some rust and peeling paint textures on a truck parked close to home. I waited for a break in the rain and went down quickly to get a shot when I couldn't think of anything else. I played around with a soap holder and got the extra of a flock of seagulls. I seem to remember a band with that name but can't think of a single song by it.
The rain woke me up in the middle of the night and it's been pouring most of the day. I hope that the people in the worst flooded areas in the province are doing okay. Not good news that we're expecting more!
