Christmas Fayre

I went to have a look at the Christmas Fair today. It would have been hard to pick a worse time.

For a start it was far too early and everything was closed. Then there was a howling gale, and the almost horizontal rain was interspersed with almost horizontal snow.

I was getting very wet, and equally concerning so was the camera. I took this shot while sheltering in an archway. That kept both me and the camera dry, though did not do much as far as the wind was concerned.

Today was our first snow of the season. We are forecast to get more snow overnight. It is extremely windy at the moment and we have had almost uninterrupted rain all day. I don't think there will be many visitors to the Christmas funfair or market today.
