Escape to the Sun

It is another dull overcast day in Aberdeen so I had a look at the weather map to see if we could get out from under the clouds. It looked like heading north would do the trick.

After a fairly long coffee stop at the Milton at Crathes we headed off. Since roughly the start of February the Milton has been under new ownership. There have been no radical changes but it has been spruced up a bit. I think the menu may have changed a bit as well.

Working north the clouds finally cleared. We headed for Findhorn where we found it was quite warm, well relatively speaking. Only one brave sailor out in the bay while we were there, and only one person brave enough to paddle in the water of the bay. The dogs were enjoying a dip however. Quite a few people sitting outside the Kimberly Arms. Several houses on the beach front appear to have been spruced up in preparation for the long awaited spring and summer.

Unfortunately Findhorn is a fairly long drive from Aberdeen, about 80 miles, so we did not have too long there, before it was time to return. Perhaps we should not have lingered over our morning coffee for so long!
