A Day In The Life

Switching Gears

We finished today what we had started yesterday: removing anything related to Fall or Thanksgiving both inside and outside. All pumpkins were collected and separated into three groups: MrsP for compost; Garden with hopes of volunteer plants next summer; and Cherry tree where each was split open for deer and squirrel nibbles • MrsP suggested we ignore the light rain and go buy a little tree for our front patio from our favorite vendor. He’s a tall gent, always jolly and helpful, and he’s a Brit! We love listening to him talk because he always makes everything sound better :) Unfortunately we did not see him today, bummer, but the place was buzzing with seekers of everything and anything evergreen • Trees of every size: big ones, little ones, and those just right. An abundance of wreaths decorated and plain, loose boughs, kissing balls, plus garland * MrsP was right in wanting to shop early this year. We found the perfect sized tree for our feathered friends, a kissing ball for our walkway, and a wreath to enjoy indoors, for the purpose of scent mostly since we have an artificial tree • It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
