Bonus Sheep

I was caught unawares by the blizzard that arrived late this morning. It dumped about three inches of perfect snow and, with Arwen now gone, provided almost perfect conditions for an unexpected adventure this afternoon. The air temperature was possibly colder than yesterday but it felt warmer without the bitter wind-chill to contend with. That makes such a difference.

I decided to explore the north side of the valley for a change, thinking that Middleton Woods would be beautiful, which it was. The views across to Ilkley Moor were wild. As I ran up higher I got an urge to climb a fence into a field and went off piste in search of a new solitary tree. And I found one too ... with a bonus sheep. That had to be celebrated on Blip.
