Hard Day's Night

Another hard and busy day progressing work on the extension

Another early trip to the building suppliers to get some bits while Gary continues with the job of removing the old garage door and bricking up the aperture.

The plumber came to cut a hole in the garage roof and re-route the flue for the boiler which is now vented through the roof and not the wall into the extension.

I have been the gofer, cleaning the garage roof ready for the new flue, taking down concrete blocks which are now needed to block up the old doorway, sweeping, filling up the mixer, cleaning out the mixer, sweeping, cleaning off the scaffolding boards, and sweeping.

Glad to be resting now in the warm, it has been bitterly cold today but at least it was  clear and dry. Small mercies!

The blip two nights ago was a view of my neighbours front windows and security light, as viewed through our landing window which was being lashed by Storm Arwen. No one gets the million pound first prize, but Mima was the closest and will get a 1987 1000dr Yugoslavian note in the post. When we went to Yugoslavia prior to the Balkan war, they had raging inflation and a travellers cheque for £50 was worth 900,000 dinar. The money was barely worth the paper it was printed. Probably much the same now.

Thank you to everyone for stars 'n hearts' n comments recently. I do try to catchup, but apologies for delay. I am not being rude, honest!
