Little Ray of Sunshine

Well, there was.   First thing this morning but after another very late night at Jamie's, I went back to bed after taking care of Meg's needs.   It was universally grey by the time I was on the move again, so this little, very little, Narcissus nivalis, was probably the brightest thing I saw all day.   Only an inch or so high, it's one of the smallest in the Hoop Petticoat group.   It's flowering much earlier than usual, it usually waits until early spring.

Meg had another lunchtime walk.   Out of town, it's almost impossible to avoid mud at this time of year and todays adventures necessitated a minute in the bath to wash the worst from her legs.   I'd have done it outside but she wouldn't keep still - there's a clip attached to a bath handle indoors that makes it impossible for her to escape.    After lunch I had a Carers Assessment phone call which was useful in small ways.   Assorted little jobs before an evening at Jamie's.
