First Snow is Always Exciting

Sunny and chilly, temps in the mid 40s F. Hubby got up temporarily before dawn to see if there was any snow. We only had a dusting but it was enough to thrill us. We hurried out to snap a few photos before it disappeared. Hubby addressed his Christmas cards, exercised and read. BIL found a few inside jobs to keep his boredom at bay. My sister and I threw together a healthy breakfast casserole for the neighbors around the ridge and went to visit. They are always so appreciative. Before we realized it, the day was almost gone. We rushed home to make our Thanksgiving Turkey. There should be time to cuddle with Sugar and read a Christmas novel by the fire. Life is good. May you feel the same. Thanks for dropping by. “I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, ‘go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again’.” – Lewis Caroll
